Rhetoric and Reality

I’m slumped in the train station, watching

passerby’s walk, run by, taking deep breaths,

they heave and sigh, tremendous loads to bear,

every man Atlas, woman Amazon, all amazing,

carrying absent others above self, not to be

bothered by the nihilistic academic ivory tower

fantasies, when they’re steady building dynasties.
