Hey there!
My name is Alexei Muravsky (but you can call me Alex). I enjoy spending time outdoors, working out, playing chess, reading, writing, and creating videos. My family and I immigrated from Moscow, Russia to Toronto, Canada in the summer of 1996.
As I was growing up I developed a fascination for people overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds, and as a result becoming performance outliers in their respective paths. By seeing their tenacity in great stories, histories, biographies, and everyday life I started to sense that there are untapped reserves of power in all of us.
Over time these observations made me passionate about pursuing my own personal actualization, a constant process, and finding opportunities where I could help others realize this power within themselves, in order to unleash their potential.
Wanting to understand this phenomenon more deeply, I decided to undertake a major in psychology after high school. I was pleased with my decision after experiencing my first year of university. Not only was I able to learn more about that which first sparked my interest, I obtained a wider understanding about the field of psychology. I eventually graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) Psychology degree in April of 2019.
Currently, I am working as a medical scribe and preparing to apply to medical school, with the aim of practicing as a psychiatrist in the future.
I am dedicated to optimizing the growth and development of future generations, and consequently inspiring them to do the same. Over the wide span of my varied experience I took pride in helping others and seeing them improve before my eyes. I plan to continue to use my skills of empathy, mentoring, and those that I am constantly learning on my path to pursue my dream of helping others achieve their highest potential.
Here you’ll find my various creative projects, in the form of essays, poems, stories, and films. It all started on the 13th of April 2014, when I started publishing the essays that I was writing in my spare time, onto this site.
