Silent Secrets

Woke today to wailing winter winds,

Screaming neighbour’s hungry kids,

A snow swept still Sunday city covered in silence,

Is sometimes… many times, the best response,

For not all questions require an answer,

Rather a continuous quiet that pulls others songs,

Will spill savoured secrets, speak symphonies,

That you wouldn’t have gotten,

With a forced demand, a closed hand.
