Dumb, Deaf, and Blind
I fall deep into meditation, I
sit back, reflecting on situations,
my reflections in heavy rotation.
Nail my door to its border,
rip up the floorboards, roots
and all, reaching for the wires,
disconnecting the electricity
connecting me to the World
Wide Web, caught in this net.
Plaster the windows with news,
papers, to calm the thoughts
racing through my head.
They’re coming out my mouth,
ears, and eyes, said,
heard and saw, now dumb,
deaf, and blind.
Ironic how
silence and darkness
illuminated new revelations.
